The story behind Dukur
Where Coffee Meets a Love for Nature & Conservation
Since childhood, I’ve carried a quiet but powerful love for the natural world. Animals, forests, oceans—every living thing felt like a part of me. I used to believe, and still do, that if we humans lived more in harmony with nature, the world wouldn’t just be better—it would be more beautiful, kinder, and more connected.
That belief stayed with me. And as I grew, so did another passion: coffee.
There’s something magical about it—the ritual, the aroma, the craft behind every cup. But I couldn’t separate it from my love for nature. Why should I? That’s how the idea for Dukúr Coffee was born: a brand rooted in love—for the earth, for animals, and for the art of truly good coffee.
At Dukúr, we do more than roast beans. We brew purpose. Every bag of coffee supports environmental conservation and animal welfare organizations working to protect what matters most—wildlife, habitats, and the fragile balance of life on this planet.
We believe coffee should taste good—and do good.
Because sharing is in our nature, it’s what connects us. It’s how we care. And with every cup, we invite you to be part of something meaningful: a movement that nurtures the planet while celebrating the simple joys of a well-crafted coffee.
Welcome to Dukúr Coffee. Where passion for nature meets the pursuit of flavor. One sip at a time.

"We wanted to create a product that would connect us with nature and help preserve it, creating a better future for all. Dukúr was born there in BriBri, an indigenous Costa Rican dialect that means bat to honor the memory of those who once owned this region."
