Welcome to Dukúr Coffee, where our journey began in the heart of Tibás, San José, Costa Rica. Fueled by a passion for coffee and a desire to share the art of savoring a truly exceptional cup, we embarked on a mission to introduce premium quality coffee beans to the world.
In 2016, our curiosity led us to delve deeper into the world of coffee through a barista course, where we discovered a universe brimming with diverse flavors, aromas, and rich narratives. Inspired by this newfound knowledge, we took the leap and purchased our first quintal of green beans, determined to roast and share them ourselves, despite competing with industry giants.
Driven by our profound connection to nature and our commitment to preserving it, we envisioned a product that not only connected us to the earth but also contributed to a brighter future for all. Thus, Dukúr was born, a name derived from the indigenous Costa Rican dialect, BriBri, meaning bat, in honor of the region's former inhabitants.
At the core of our brand lies a dedication to nature conservation and community support, giving rise to Community Brew – our initiative to give back to others. Over time, the producers and their families have become not just partners but cherished friends. Through ethically sourced products, we strive to honor their hard work and inspire positive change for all.
Because at Dukúr Coffee, we believe that true joy lies in the simple pleasure of helping others. Join us in our journey to create a better world, one cup at a time.
